My elder sister went to take up Nursing in ITE in Yr 2006. I was Sec3 at that time.
That was my dream career and its like my sister copied my idea!!
But becox I was WAY ~ younger than her, it seem like as if I took her idea!! *Seems legit*

Anw, is good to have a sister that is also a nurse becox I can share what happen to her and she will freaking understand what others dont.

Skills to learn like ORAL feeding and NGT feeding. (YES TOTALLY DIFF FEEDING!!)
I have tried letting my teacher inserting a NGT into me. THAT FEELING SUCKS !!
This is good becox I can understand the pain of the patients that have NGT on them !!!

There are a lot of skills that are pretty disgusting --> Inserting suppository into the patient's asshole. STICKING YOUR DAMN INDEX FINGER UP THEIR ASS-ES !!
Yea, is disgusting doing it but is for your ptn's benefits.
It allow them to SHIT becox they are having constipation.

We all wanted to see them get their ass out of the hos, recovered, asap !!!!!
Nurse, can be life saving, can be ass cleaning. BUT IS PART OF THE JOB !!!
We dont have a choice if we have want to enter this career !!!

A lot of ppl is not willing to do this job becox HEAVY WORKLOAD and ANT-LIKE PAY!!
IT IS SO DAMN TRUE !!

Even as a STUDENT NURSE like me, I am alrdy having LOADS of work to do in the ward.
Imagine all the real staff in the ward, they have like x10 of workload compared to us.
And this is the reason why most nurses are FT.

S'poreans would rather work ADMIN jobs than this and its true..
I wouldnt say 100% NO S'poreans wanna work in this line
but 99% wont wanna work in this line.


Currently, I had been through my Nursing Yr 1.1
I did well for my Exams and my Attachment.
I did well for my 1.2 Exams too and now I am going through HELL !!
Alrdy having attachment and my instructor is STRICT LIKE A BOSS !!! (UNLUCKY)

Once I end my 1.2 attachment, I will be a Nursing Yr 2 student.
And I will have to attend World Skills Singapore (WSS) training.
WSS is a competition that will VS NP & NYP


Yr 2 = Ending of my course. OMG !! SO fast?! I am going to leave ITE in Yr 2013??
Damn fast loh !!!

ITESC Badminton Games was held ytd (6 Oct) as preliminarily rounds.
I played for CE and I was 2nd singles ytd. I lose to CC by 17-21, 11-21
I was so pissed with myself cox I dint run in the court and I am always
hitting the shuttle to my opponent.

Super pissed and sad.
So after my match, I went down aside to calm myself down..
Until I saw my teammate injured herself on the back..
And I was like an angel.. I taught her what to do when she get home..
Like how to make her back not so painful.. Like relief to her..
I am like a PRO NURSE!! LOL.. Actually it wasnt pro cox THIS IS FKING BASIC SKILLS!!!

Today (7 Oct), I had my match at CC, Macpherson.
Their indoor sports IS COLD LIKE A G6.
I dint bring jacket somemore!! Cold die me like a srsly!!

So today I played last singles and I lose again by 20-22, 12-21 .
I was proud of myself today cox I knw I REALLY REALLY DID MY BEST
and I RAN!! Woohoo ~

We lose the tournament and we are in 3rd plc.. Not bad right??
Haha ~ Good for me.. I am happy today!! :D

TGIF!!! Is finally Friday!! Hahaha yay ~

4 wks in Ward 64 have been the worst working experience of my life!!
Ward nurses treat ITE students like dog, calling us do this and that and looked down on us
being an ITE student.. WOW !! How mature eh?!
Ward nurses will always be there for the NYP students.. Can stand beside them, see them do skills and help them sign the necessary skills that is completed. WOW!! What treatment!!!

Not only Ward nurses, PATIENTS also can be a pain in the ass sometimes.
They dont eat medication, they dont want this, dont want that.. Only want like this.. Want like that..
In a PATIENT'S POV; Nurses are like MAIDS!!

Not ITE students are all "MAIDS" and NYP students are "STUDENT NURSES"..

I went to work ytd and I cant believe I actually have to work with NYP Yr 1.1 students.
And you knw what? I dont mind actually. Got more manpower to help ME out

Some ppl will think : What? NYP students come and help you? Who the hack you think you are?
I am not being a bully or something. In fact, I am not bullying anyone there. I was BEING bullied. Goodness.
Why did I say they are here to help me? Why?

Bcox the nurses in the ward got other things to do and always pass those shitty work to me when I am alone handling 6-8 patients by myself. So the NYP students are here to help me, sharing my work load. I appreciated them ttm cox I really needed that kind of help.

But sometimes, you will shake head when you see them work...

YOU ARE A POLY STUDENT, HOW CAN YOU TELL AN ITE STUDENT THAT YOU CANT HANDLE TAKING PARAMETERS BY YOURSELF FOR A PATIENT??
Ya I knw. Poly focus more on THEORY than PRACTICAL. But hello? Taking para you also dk really makes me wonder what you learn in sch. NYP some more. Really make me think wht if I am making a right choice to go there after I graduate from ITE.

Some more still can ask me why am I wearing apron and gloves when postioning a MRSA (+) patient.

Last time when ITE student was in the ward, alone, we were bullied w/o reason.
Ward Nurse want to you to be a scapegoat for something you dint do, you WILL be guilty eventually.
Now, with NYP students, the nurses there finally knw that we are a treasure to them.

Ward nurses tell NYP students to follow us (ITE students) ard. NYP students are not allow to do things alone w/o us or ward nurses ard to help them out.

WOW! SO NOW WE ARE IMPT HUH!? (Whatever -rolled eyes- )
Thanks ward nurses, you made me understand how you finally understand we are a great helper in the ward after thinking that we are here to disrupt your work and looking down on us.

Today is Singapore 46th Day of Independence.
But for me, I am stuck at home, rotting.

My nephew is getting on my nerves whenever he starts to cry.
Yes, I dont have as much patience compared to my sist.
But my sist is not feeling well, hence, I have to do the taking-care-of-nephew-job

This wk will be the last wk for me in Ward 51, NUH.
Next I will be moving on to Ward 64.
Ward 51 literally sucks, other than those who are really kind to really
use their heart to teach us what to do in the ward.
But over all comment, IT JUST SUCK!!
I can get nagged over something that wasnt done by me.

Ya lah.. We yr1 mah.. Cfm everything also our fault.
